Sunday School is offered at 10 a.m. for ages 4 to 12 during the public school year. Jill Malloy, who has taught Sunday School nearly 40 years, and assistant Rob Freeman teach substantive, Bible-centered lessons. Classes have covered such topics as Our Lord's parables, biblical persons, the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes—and are all designed to make learning fun. The children also work on a craft related to the lesson.
Before the lesson the children receive a welcoming message from the rector at the altar rail; and at Holy Eucharist the children return to the altar rail to be communed or to receive a blessing.
This group, also for ages 4 to 12, meets in the summer over several weeks. The Sunday School teachers mentioned above also lead "God's Buddies" meetings, which include a meal and various fun activities that nonetheless relate to important Biblical truths.
A summer field trip is organized, not just for children, but for any parishioners who are kids at heart. The trip for 2017, for example, was to Hersheypark!
The children meet with Fr. Tom before their Sunday School lesson.
